Pinokio AI browser offers the simplest complete setup for unlimited free local AI video generation on Windows 11, installing tools like Stable Video Diffusion or AnimateDiff with one-click—no manual Python or dependencies needed. This runs offline using your GPU, producing text-to-video or image-to-video clips without limits, watermarks, or costs. Expect 5-30 second videos; extend via loops.
Pinokio AI Hardware Requirement on Windows 11
Verify NVIDIA GPU with 6GB+ VRAM (RTX 3060+ ideal; works on 4GB like RTX 3050 with tweaks). Update NVIDIA drivers: Download GeForce Experience from nvidia.com, run, and update. Free 20-50GB disk space. No AMD/Intel GPU full support yet.
Step 1: Install Pinokio AI on Windows 11
Download latest Pinokio AI ZIP from pinokio.
Extract All to C:\Pinokio. Double-click Pinokio-Setup.exe (or run_pinokio.bat),
click Next > Next > Install—ignores Windows Defender warnings (add exception if blocked). Launch Pinokio AI; it auto-installs Python/Node/Git in isolated envs. Browser opens to dashboard at http://127.0.0.1:3188.
Step 2: Install AI Video App (Stable Video Diffusion)
In Pinokio AI dashboard, click Discover (top-right magnifying glass). Search “Stable Video Diffusion” or “AnimateDiff ComfyUI”—pick community-verified like SVD from Stability AI. Click Install; waits 5-30 min downloading ~10GB models (needs internet first time). Once green “Installed”, click Launch—opens ComfyUI-like interface. Alternative: Search “Wan 2.1” or “Kling local” for newer models (low VRAM friendly).
Step 3: Download Models (First Run Only)
In app interface (e.g., ComfyUI), go to Manager > Install Missing Custom Nodes > Restart. Download models from civitai.com or huggingface.co: e.g., svd_xt.safetensors to models/svd folder, base SD1.5 to checkpoints. Drag sample workflow JSON (from tutorial GitHub) to interface.
Step 4: Generate Videos
-
Text-to-Video: Prompt: “A futuristic city flying cars sunset, cinematic, 4K”. Set steps:20-50, CFG:7, resolution:576×1024, frames:25 (5s@5fps).
-
Image-to-Video: Upload start image, enable motion strength.
-
Click Queue Prompt; generates in 1-10 min (RTX 4070: ~2min/clip). Save MP4 from output folder.
-
Loop for longer: Use ControlNet + img2vid workflow.
Troubleshooting and Enhancements
Antivirus blocks? Add Pinokio folder to exclusions. Out of VRAM? Reduce resolution/steps or use –lowvram flag in launch args. Add audio: Install Tortoise-TTS via Pinokio Discover, generate WAV, merge in free DaVinci Resolve. Upscale: Add Ultimate Video Upscaler script. Update apps via Pinokio > Updates. For advanced AnimateDiff: In ComfyUI Manager, search “AnimateDiff”, install, place mm_sd_v15.ckpt in animatediff_models, load v2 workflow
