Martian Pro Gaming Chair Review: Best Seat in the House

The DXRacer Martian Pro is the most comfortable gaming chair I’ve ever used, making strides in all-day use in my office. The post Martian Pro Gaming Chair Review: Best Seat in the House first appeared on iPhone in Canada.

I’ve been using gaming chairs at my office desk for as long as I can remember. As someone who sits and writes, creates podcasts, and produces video content for 9 to 10 hours a day, it’s essential that I’m comfortable while doing so. For the past month, I’ve been using the DXRacer Martian Pro, and I can’t summarize it any better than saying this is the best gaming chair I’ve used. Instead of solely being a comfortable gaming chair that encourages all-day use, DXRacer includes some of the most thoughtful and useful features that not only feel cutting-edge in today’s market but also turn the sitting experience into a spa day.

With massagers built in, a seat warmer to warm me and a fan to cool me down, I feel like I’m being pampered, even as I write this review. Of course, this all comes with the caveat that the DXRacer Martian Pro is a very premium gaming chair, priced at $1,239 in Canada. You must also get past the idea that the chair runs off a charge, meaning you have to tend to its built-in battery. If price is no concern or you want to prioritize an insanely comfortable experience at your desk, the DXRacer Martian Pro feels like an easy recommendation for me.

The DXRacer Martian Pro is available in Canada in only one colourway. It comes in a stylish black with red arrow accents and a long red racing stripe down the middle of the seat. It’s not overtly loud in design by any means, which is nice. Over the entire body is a faux leather material that feels great overall. It’s easy to wipe down if an accidental spill occurs. The padding underneath is very comfortable, even after enduring hours of sitting at my desk each day.

To allow for heat and cooling dispersion, the seat and back support have a mesh design. Overall, the DXRacer Martian Pro feels very premium to sit in. Aside from the look and aesthetic of the DXRacer Martian Pro, the gaming chair features 4D adjustments in the armrests. In 2026, I feel as though this should just come standard. They can move up and down, be pushed forward and backwards, and be angled in or out.

They come with a nice locking feature so your arms won’t slide accidentally. They provide a full range of adjustments, so no matter your height or width requirements, you should be set. On the sides of the DXRacer Martian Pro are all the controls for what I feel are the best aspects of the gaming chair. On the left side is a toggle to adjust the chair’s recline. The chair can be adjusted within a range of 90 to 135 degrees.

With the electronic toggle, the DXRacer Martian Pro gradually adjusts to your desired angle. On the right side, you’ll find the controls to adjust heating and cooling functions. Each comes with three custom settings, so you can choose from mild heat/cooling and increase from there. As with many of you, I’m at my desk all day. Which has required me to be thoughtful about the chairs I sit in. I’ve used everything from Blacklyte to Razer gaming chairs in the past.

This isn’t to take away anything from previous models I’ve used, but the DXRacer Martian Pro makes it very easy to endure longer sessions at my desk. The lumbar support on the back is stellar, especially for me, who often has back issues. The included neck pillow can be magnetically attached and is quite firm. Even the 4D armrests have a bit of give to them, so it doesn’t feel as though I’m laying my forearms on hard plastic all day.

The seat itself is also quite wide. On occasion, I found myself sitting cross-legged comfortably. On the side of the chair, there is an ‘M’ button that toggles the massager on and off. Built into the chair are four pairs of actuators, ranging from the lower back area and up towards the shoulders. While on, the actuators rotate and offer a nice massage to break up the work day or gaming session.

The only downside is that they are a bit loud. So, I had to avoid using them during video calls and podcast recordings. What I think are arguably the best-selling features of the DXRacer Martian Pro are the heating and cooling features. Using the built-in controls, I’m able to press and hold to turn on the heating or cooling function. Additional presses change the strength of these features. The cold winter afternoons can be a bit much, so I’ve been using the heating function to warm me up a bit rather than grabbing a blanket.

I haven’t found too much use for the cooling feature yet, but I can attest that it does come through nicely and is dispersed when in use. As you can imagine, so much of the DXRacer Martian Pro leverages the battery. Everything is built in when assembling the unit. Even having to hook up the components for the massaging and heating elements, the assembly only took around 20 minutes. DX Racer includes a 5,000mAh battery that is installed under the gaming chair.

On the rear of the seat is a small port to plug in the charging unit. This brings me to what I feel is the only negative to the DXRacer Martian Pro, it’s the battery life. Since everything hinges around the battery, even reclining the chair, the battery is tapped quickly. It’s hard to quantify what the battery life is, as it ultimately depends on which features get used and for how long. I have noticed that the heating and cooling features drain the battery pretty quickly.

Though if you’re only using the battery for reclining, you can probably get two weeks before charging. The DXRacer Martian Pro comes with a charging cable and a power supply to plug in. On average, it takes around 3 to 4 hours to fully charge the battery. Thankfully, all features can be operated when the battery is charging. So, if you’d prefer, you can keep the chair plugged in as long as you have an outlet nearby, as the charging cord is pretty short.

The DXRacer Martian Pro is a well-rounded gaming chair that includes premium and luxury features that all go a long way. Although it comes with a premium price, its comfort and wide-ranging features all feel meaningful in supporting all-day use. The only downside is how intregal the battery is in using all the core features, meaning you have to maintain a charge or keep the unit plugged in. If you can look past this, the DXRacer Martian Pro is a phenomenal addition to the office, and I’ll continue to praise its comfort and design for months to come.
