Samsung revealed today the Galaxy S26 series, its latest flagship smartphones that bring minor design changes, battery upgrades, and new AI features. Alongside the three new phones come the new Galaxy Buds4 Series, which come with enhanced active noise cancellation and new head gestures on the Buds4 Pro. Samsung’s last high-profile product launch was the $2,899 Galaxy Z Trifold just a month ago, and this price is just out of reach for most consumers.

Unfortunately, the Galaxy S26 series is getting more expensive this year as the base Galaxy S26 now starts at $899.99, which is $100 more than the S25. However, you do get 256GB of storage instead of 128GB on last year’s S25 base model. As usual, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is getting the biggest updates with a refined design, a new vapor chamber, and a Privacy Display feature that limits screen legibility.

However, all three phones come with the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip in North America, China, and Japan, with the rest of the world getting Samsung’s Exynos 2600 chip on the S26 and S26+. The design of the two phones is largely unchanged overall, with the same flat edges, aluminum frame, and IP68 water and dust resistance. Samsung still uses Dynamic AMOLED displays with a 120HZ adapative refresh rate, and the two phones also offer 12GB of memory and either 256GB or 512GB of storage.

This year, the Galaxy S26 is getting a slightly larger 4,300mAh battery, while the one in the S26+ has a 4900 mAh capacity. The two phones support up to 25W wired charging, but the S26 is limited to 15W wireless charging, while the S26+ now supports 20W. However, there are no charging magnets inside the device, as Samsung opted to put them in first-party cases. If the camera module on the two phones has been slightly redesigned, the sensors didn’t change: There’s still a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, plus a 12MP front sensor.

However, Samsung said that it has improved its image signal processor (ISP) for capturing skin tones more accurately. The Samsung Galaxy S26 starts at $899.99, and the Galaxy S26+ at $1,099.99. Both models will be available for pre-order later today, and they will start shipping on March 11. The S26 Ultra remains Samsung’s flagship model, and it’s the model with the biggest design changes, with more rounded corners and a unified camera bump.

Under the hood, Samsung also introduced a redesigned vapor chamber to improve heat dissipation. The new Ultra comes with a bigger 5,000 mAh battery that now supports 60W Super Fast Charging 3.0, making it possible to reach up to 75% charge in just 30 minutes. The S26 Ultra also adds support for Qi2 25W wireless charging speeds, though there are no built-in magnets, just like on the two other models.

The rest of the specs are quite straightforward: You get 256/512/1TB of storage, 12 or 16GB of RAM, a 200MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, plus 50MP 5x and 10MP 3x telephoto sensors on the back, and a 12MP selfie camera. However, all sensors on the Ultra come with wider apertures to capture more light, and there’s also an improved “Nightography Video” and stabilization when recording.

The new Privacy Display that limits screen legibility in public spaces is probably the standout feature, however. “By controlling how pixels disperse light, the display keeps content clear, bright and comfortable for the user in everyday use, while limiting what others can see,” the company explained. “Unlike traditional stick-on privacy films, Galaxy’s integrated Privacy Display preserves full viewing quality from all directions when off, and limits visibility for others from side viewing angles when activated, even when switching between portrait and landscape orientation.” The Galaxy S26 Ultra starts at $1,299, and it will also be available for pre-order later today ahead of its March 11 release date.

With modest hardware upgrades, Samsung once again put the emphasis on new Galaxy AI features today. Here are the main highlights: Now Nudge: This new AI feature is designed display “timely and relevant suggestions.” Samsung said that it could surface photos when needed or recognize related calendar entries and check for conflicts when receiving a message about a meeting. Now Brief: This existing Galaxy AI feature has been improved to be “more proactive and personalized,” with timely reminders throughout the day and more.

Photo Assist: Users can now describe what they want to change in a photo in their own words, restore missing parts of objects, and more. Document scan: This feature can remove distortions and distractions such as creases or fingers on a document, and it can also bundle multiple images into a single PDF. Circle to Search: The feature developed by Google now supports multi-object recognition. AI assistants: Galaxy S26 owners can use an upgraded version of Samsung’s Bixby or set up another default assistant, including Google Gemini and Perplexity AI.

The new Galaxy Buds4 Pro and Galaxy Buds4 feature an AirPod-like design, better battery life and noise cancellation, and they integrate seamlessly with Samsung’s latest flagship phones. Users can initiate a connection by just opening the charging case, adjust noise canceling levels or change settings directly from the Quick Panel, and there are also new head gestures on the Buds 4 Pro for answering calls or initiating discussions with AI agents.

The Galaxy Buds4 Pro features a canal-fit design contrasting with the open-fit design of Galaxy Buds4, but both models offer enhanced Adaptive EQ and active noise cancellation. The Buds4 Pro, however, come with a wider woofer offering even better sound quality. The Galaxy Buds4 are priced at $17.99, and the Galaxy Buds4 Pro at $249.99. Both models are available for pre-order in select markets starting today, with general availability starting March 11.
