Just bought this for $817.05 delivered. Stacked with 5% First Purchase + 5% Coupon Code + Amex $100 off (when you spend $500). Original price is $1999. The current offer on EPP is 50% Tech Upgrade Deal $999.50 Trade-in value of your old soundbar is upto $25 5% First Purchase is automatically provided. I've purchased many items over the years and no idea why this is still being applied, but I'll take it.

5% Coupon Code I requested by starting a chat and straight up asking for a code. Took me about 5 min. $100 off AMEX for $500 spend may be targeted and needs to be activated on your card/account before purchase. $15 delivery is completely new to me, it's usually been free, but still a cheap price. im no audiophile but the sound is amazing. im on 10-13% volume most times and its already freaking loud.

Voices are crisp and clear You need an valid email for it; however, you can access EPP via westpac or CBA bank accout, for Westpac you can get via Westpac Rewards the access and With CBA you need CBA Yello Rewards. I checked my CBA, I have yellow plus, but I couldn't find how to sign up to EPP from the rewards page. Is there a hidden option somewhere? CBA rewards —> offers by brand —> Samsung —> claim offer —> takes you to samsung page —> register or log into your account.

True but if you access via CBA you need to pay with CBA card so don’t get the Amex $100 cash back. Still a good deal though They have hardly evolved from the C series, the subwoofer bass on the C is more powerful. Yeah small incremental upgrades. I didn't know the sub was better on the C.. I thought that was improved! I've had 930b and 990f. The biggest improvement is the subwoofer. It's a massive difference – bass is no boomy and is punchier.

I used to have a AVR Atmos setup before downsizing to soundbars. While it's not as good, 990f is excellent for the money (my AVR by itself costs $1,500)… Then add rear speakers which are worse than the samsung for $500, then add a subwoofer for $8-900….2.5k for something that may marginally outperform the 990. @Spendmore: It is sound industry. Some people will be happy pay more for marginal improvement and it is totally fine.

Sonos does sound better in both music and movie and not margin. Crying when I bought whole set of sonos and still plan to buy front facing set to complete combo. @Steven123: … What? Are you suggesting it's a not marginal improvement? Because I'm sure it is in most cases. A full sonos arc system is well over 3k if you pair it with the top end eras 300 and Sub4, not the mini. This is an all in one easy to use solution..

And Sonos is very app dependent still, no? No remote. You're dreaming if you think the Sonos sounds over 3x the quality of the Samsung. It's just brand and aesthetics and convenience. For the price of the Sonos you could buy a massively superior (sound wise) surround setup via a receiver. Soundbars have come a long way, but there's still physical limitations with sound. So the argument for 'pay for marginal improvement' is probably less accurate then vs paying for convenience (which is what a soundbar and wireless surrounds and subs provide, not everyone wants to run speaker cables).

But let's not pretend it's about sound quality. @ReaperX22: It does sound better but neither better to stereo when it comes to music. Sound bar has its limit. I have a new full set of ultra and it is not marginally better to Q990 but not 3x time difference. In audio world, people do pay min 1k for cable just to gain 10-15% for their IE let alone speaker. It is your money and you decide what suits your ears.

I got this recently and haven't fulled tested it out yet. My one complaint is that the stand holes at the back are a random size and the screws aren't included unless I missed them. I got these recently during Black Friday sales last year via EPP for $1045. It took me a while to set up the whole thing, figured out it was an old hdmi cable that needed to be replaced, and it worked like a charm. I think this setup is the best value for money.

I've been told the next 'upgrade' from this is the Sonos Arc Ultra, but that setup is around $4k. How did the coupon work on the EPP site. In the past the coupons never worked on the EPP site. Good if they changed this I've used the coupon codes a few times in the past. They're usually half the discount of the normal Samsung site. Ie 10% for normal site and 5% for EPP. I've had the Q990D for about 18 months and have loved it since.

I previously had a Sonos setup in a smaller living space, but don't know that I would consider Sonos again for the living room considering the price, quality and value I have received from the 990D setup. It sounds great. Probably has shopping location restrictions like all the last ones. Still salty they don't ship to TAS. When I edited the deal a few hours ago, I tested the shipping restrictions by entering a random address in Sandy Bay (7005), and I was offered shipping to that address for $15.

I just tested this again with a random address in Strahan (7468) and shipping was offered to me. Samsung's shipping restrictions appears to only apply to very large/heavy items (e.g. TVs, refrigerators, washing machines). Just went through the steps you described, requested the 5% discount coupon which they gave but I had to show a photo of Samsung product serial. Fished out an old phone which I realise was my only Samsung product around!

The 5% first buyer discount was automatically applied like you said so that brought it to $917.05. I activated the Amex offer so that should take it to 817 like you said. The offer did say it only applies to Samsung.com/au but I hope that will work on the epp store as well? I received the email from AMEX confirming I used the offer, so I'm kinda hoping it is approved too. They usually state it's not applicable for the EPP in the T&Cs and at checkout the url was "samsung.com/au…" Sooo I'll kick a little fuss if they reject it.

Either way I was happy with paying $999. I'm currently tossing up between the Samsung Q990F with satellites in front, since I don't have space behind the couch for rears, versus a Sonos Arc Ultra + Sub 4. Anyone else had the same issue and decided on a certain direction? These were/are popular on here when I got the 990C. From memory they dropped a little lower than this but not often. I’ve got a set placed behind sofa.

Can’t get 5% to auto apply even though showing on front page. Using iPhone safari browser. Any suggestions? Firstly, thanks for the post. Great timing as I was about to pull the trigger on a q800. Hopefully the AMEX offer goes through alright. It says “SAMSUNG AU ONLINE” in the transaction description but I haven’t received the email to say the offer was used (it was saved to my card). I went through Union Shopper to access the discount (another option if you don’t have access to the education shop).

Got the extra 5% off via chat. Had to provide any Samsung serial to get the code but there weren’t any issues – just asked for it. Hey OP. Great offer, but I can't seem to get past the Employee Email section. I have a Samsung account, but nothing for the employee section. Wife is a member of Union Shopper as she is a teacher, but no idea on how to leverage that via the Employee Email. Not too sure about the Union Shopper side, at a guess I would say there may be a link in the Union Shopper web portal that will direct you to the EPP bypassing the Employee Email login page.

Hope that helps. I wish the EPP would work for me, but the confirmation emails get sent but I never receive them on my work email – I assume they're being blocked by my organisation. Something similar happened to me and it turned out we had multiple domains and it only accepted one. Example @mywork.com.au @mywork.com @mywork.gov @mywork.gov.au. In my case only one of these worked. Hope this helps.
